"Dad's Glad" By: Blue Lit Moon

I decided to mix and make different variations of this song because I am used to recording, mixing, and mastering songs of this style. One song that I recorded mixed and mastered in a similar style is called Wonder By: Infinities. (Can Be found on Portfolio 3 page)
For the beginning of this song I wanted to add an element of a girl leaving a voicemail before the artist starts to sing. I used a couple of SFX i found and compressed and added a EQ cutting highs and lows and slightly boosting mids to make the girl's vocals sound like they were coming through a telephone.
For this variation I wanted to record a live instrument but I don't know anyone who plays any instruments, and I myself never learned how to play any. So I went to the store and found a 2 in 1 Xylophone/Piano children's toy and recorded myself playing a melody with it. I also used some elements of the time-based effects production technique.
For this variation I used the A.I. Drummer on Logic Pro X to create different grooves within the song. In this part of the song at first I went with a half time drum pattern then I switched to a normal time drum pattern. This is something I learned in the Halftime/Doubletime production technique.
